Dr. Allen Hilsdon holds a Ph.D. in Christian Life Coaching and a Doctorate in Education Administration from the Newburgh Theological Seminary. He also holds a M.S. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Hilsdon has worked in public and private schools for over 15 years as well as teaching college classes at Central Baptist College.
Dr. Hilsdon has coached people in their life challenges as well as athletes in their quests to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level. Dr. Hilsdon has assisted in getting several students into college or into the next stages of the education careers. He has experience in college entrance as well as working through the financial needs to college students.
Dr. Hilsdon is in the process of certifying as a Mental Performance Coach and working with athletes during the process. Dr. Hilsdon has coached many sports including club softball and baseball, owning his own facility for several years. He is a nationally recognized fastpitch softball coach and worked to with Frozen Ropes for several years. Dr. Hilsdon has completed extensive research in self-efficacy and how to mentally prepare athletes for their level of competition.
At Proverbs 15:22, Dr. Hilsdon will work with individuals, couples, families or small groups in life coaching to provide direction and accountability to set and reach goals. Additionally, Dr. Hilsdon will provide each person with information on to better use their gifts and learning styles to benefit thier goals.
In Mental Peformance Coaching, we offer individual, team and group sessions. We will look to work with coaches, athletes, parents and law enforcement personnel to better task their goals and objectives.
Additionally, Dr. Hilsdon welcomes high school and college students needing help in applying for college, their best routes to their career choices and financial aid obstacles. Dr. Hilsdon will also help those graduating college to find direction after college, whether the student is looking to advance their education or looking to enter the job market.
One of the biggest obstacles in personal performance is procrastination. Procrastination most often occurs because of a person's lack of knowledge or fear. Dr. Hilsdon will work to provide leadership and clarity for procrastination by holding you accountable through clear timelines and direction.
